Job Description
As a Field Sales Representative for Wild State Cider and Birdie, you’ll be responsible for opening new accounts, building relationships, and increasing sales in existing accounts. This role will focus on increasing both sales velocity and points of distribution for our THC brand, Birdie, as well as our cider brand, Wild State Cider. You’ll work directly with distributor reps and management to achieve sales goals, with a primary focus on the Twin Cities area and occasional statewide market visits. You’ll represent both brands in various on-premise and off-premise locations, including tobacco shops, liquor stores, bars, restaurants, head shops, and more.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Increase on and off-premise sales for Birdie and Wild State Cider based on predetermined volume and POD goals.
- Develop and build relationships with new and existing accounts through productive visits.
- Work effectively with distributor sales managers and reps.
- Effectively pull data to increase sales route efficiency, identify non-buys and gaps in distribution, and track other related sales metrics.
- Manage chain accounts and coordinate with distributor reps on all aspects of account development.
- Work with the sales manager to determine go-to-market strategies while also independently identifying opportunities in the market and handling multiple sales projects.
- Assist with merchandising, building store displays, point-of-sale materials, and other related items.
- Conduct promotions and tastings at on and off-premise accounts.
- Schedule and manage a Twin Cities-based ambassador team for events and in-store tastings.
- Learn and implement internal CRM and other technology as required.
- Complete a predetermined number of account visits per week/month and successfully recap to management and distributors via the Karma application.
- Record sales notes daily and recap effectively to management and distributor partners.
- Track and present sales metrics weekly with management.
- Work weekends and evenings as required, including tastings, promotions, festivals, and other related events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Easy-going person with a great personality and a can-do attitude.
- Willingness to hustle in a startup environment.
- Relationship builder.
- Passionate about craft beverages and the cannabis industry.
- Willing to take a creative approach to make a difference.
- A proven salesperson, ideally having grown a beverage or cannabis brand meaningfully
- A persistent over-communicator and an excellent note-taker.
- A clean driving record with a reliable vehicle.

Compensation:
- Competitive base salary and bonus opportunity.

A Bit About Us:
Wild State has grown immensely since opening in 2019. We’re a top 40 cider brand nationally, with over 30 team members and distribution in 5 states. We still have plenty of room to grow regionally and beyond. In 2023 we scaled our production to a new facility that allows us to produce over 500,000 annual gallons of cider. We give back 5% of profits to local causes. With the launch of our THC brand, Birdie, we are excited to expand our portfolio and offer a wider range of products to our customers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

- Monday through Friday, with occasional events on evenings and weekends.
Work Location: On the road, all over the Twin Cities metro area, and surrounding suburbs.
